The Guild of Professional Healers Tutor requirements Route 1 Guild members may apply to become licensed tutors if they have experience of tutoring with any other healing organisation providing they: a) Are a Full Healer Member of The Guild of Professional Healers b) Provide a portfolio of APEL equivalent to City & Guilds 7302 c) Attend an interview in person or by telephone with a Guild Director d) Have experience of no less than 2 years as a practising healer e) Have the ability to market themselves f) Agree to have a Guild Director observe their training annually NB: The Guild reserve the right to ask candidates to deliver a micro teaching session as part of the interview process Route 2 Guild members may apply to become licensed tutors providing they: a) Are a Full Healer member of The Guild of Professional Healers b) Hold a City and Guilds 7302 or equivalent qualification c) Attend an interview in person or by telephone with a Guild Director d) Have experience of no less than 2 years as a practising healer e) Have the ability to market themselves f) Agree to have a Guild Director observe their training annually NB: The Guild reserve the right to ask candidates to deliver a micro teaching session as part of the interview process The Guild reserves the right to expect their tutors to attend at least one tutor training event each year. Ist Annual Conference of The Guild Venue :The North Lakes Hotel, Penrith in Cumbria, which is conveniently situated on the axis of the M6 and A66 and offers first-class conference facilities. Date : Saturday 20th October 2012 Conference bookings are now being taken. Places are open to healers from other organisations as well as Guild members. The Conference fee of £65 in total includes both morning and afternoon key-note speeches, two workshops which can be chosen from a range of twelve [ one morning and one afternoon workshop ] and a two-course meal at lunch-time. The Guilds standards will seek to improve and lay foundations for healers in all areas of health care in both the private and public sectors. Health providers and the general public will be able to call on the services of the Guild's registered membership, knowing that they meet the highest professional standards.All healers on the GPH register have been interviewed personally by a director of the GPH . Members of the Guild will have access to a number of benefits: One membership fee that covers Reiki ,Spiritual Healing or Energy Healing Members will be alerted to vacancies for healers within healthcare funded by our charity Access to a library of research articles relating to Healing Discounted rates on a programme of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) After interview, healers can be listed on our ‘Find a Healer' data base Have access to advice and supervision by healers who are leaders in the field of building bridges between complementary and conventional medicine The Guild is a verifying PA and able to fast track your application if you wish to register with the CNHC . Once completed please send the form to us to verify your application before we send your details onto the CNHC . The CNHC will then send you an explanatory email outlining the next steps which will include your login code to register. This is a very positive step forward for healers but remember it is voluntary self regulation so the choice is yours.
